2013 Season Schedule Posted

The 2013 Senoia Raceway season schedule has been posted on the track website.
Track activities will open with the Racer’s Swap & Shop and Open Practice on Saturday, March 9th. Racing will crank up three weeks later with a special Easter weekend racing celebration. The points season will open on Saturday, April 13th and conclude on Saturday, September 21st.
There will be special events sprinkled throughout the season calendar including the Spring Fling 40 for the late models on Saturday, Aprl 6th. The B Cadets will compete for a $1000 top prize during a Wednesday, July 3rd event while the Hobby Stock Summer Sizzler moves to an August date in 2013. The Bombers and Mini Stocks are also slated for extended lap special events offering additional purse.
The Jewel Series is back on tap for the new season. The fan favorite double feature format will return for the series within a series, three night package in May, July and September.
The USCS Sprint Cars will return for the Senoia Summer Nationals IV in August. The double header weekend will also offer a pair of big races for the late models, b cadets, hobby stocks and mini sprints.
Senoia Raceway will be dark on a pair of Saturday nights this upcoming year. They will take a summer vacation on Saturday, July 6th (track will operate on Wednesday, July 3rd instead) and will also take a week off on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
The weekly racing divisions will remain the same for the 2013 racing season. Track promoter Tim Moses does not anticipate many changes to the current rulebook and specifications for each of the weekly divisions.
“We have to clean up some language,” said Moses. “There are a couple of changes forthcoming, but not anything drastic in any of the weekly classes. I pretty much like the rules we have in place.”
