LATE MODEL TWIN 20’s WITH FULL PURSE THIS SATURDAY
Senoia Raceway promoter Tim Moses has decided to make the upcoming Jewel Series opener a special event for the Jodeco Auto Sales Late Models. The late model contingent will compete in two 20-lap main events on Saturday, May 18th. Each race will pay $750 to win and feature a full purse payout.
“We will throw out last week’s qualifying and all drivers will draw for position to start feature race number one,” explained Moses. “The second feature will be complete invert from the starting positions of the first feature. If you draw bad, you will start up front for the second race. The driver who passes cars will be the guy who makes the most purse money.”
The Bombers will complete the remainder of their rained out event this Saturday and then compete in a Jewel Series feature of 15 laps. Due to the rained out event, both Bomber races will also be full purse payout including the additional money offered for their special event feature.
Newnan Bonding B Cadets and Summit Racing Equipment Hobby Stocks will run a pair of 12-lap features while the Mini Stock and Modified Mini will run 10-lap features. These classes will be paid a split purse based on their feature finishes. All events will award points for the Jewel Series and the season points.
Pit passes and grandstand ticket prices remain the same for this special double features night and there will not be any entry fees.
