MORE CANCELLATIONS – SPRING NATIONALS POSTPONED AGAIN

Officials with the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series, Wythe Raceway (VA), Tazewell Speedway (TN), Boyd’s Speedway and Senoia Raceway have announced the postponement of series events scheduled for the month of April.

Due to state and local officials advising businesses not to hold events where people can gather during this COVID-19 / Coronavirus pandemic, series and track officials have postponed all four of the events slated for the month of April.  The series was looking forward to it’s first Spring Nationals visit to Wythe Raceway, the Bill Corum Memorial at Tazewell Speedway and the always exciting events at Georgia’s Boyd’s Speedway and Senoia Raceway.  Officials are looking at possible makeup dates and once restrictions are lifted on these venues, the planning of these rescheduled dates will begin.

The Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series will be making another announcement on Monday April 27th concerning the future plans for the tour.

“Between now and then we will be working with everyone regarding makeup dates,” stated Spring Nationals promoter Ray Cook. “Until then we will keep praying for quick cures for the virus and everyone’s safety.”

Senoia Raceway will now set it’s sights on the first weekend of May to try and get the racing season underway.  Stay tuned to the track’s website, Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram feeds for the latest updates.
